Oz has a single floating licence of Agisoft’s PhotoScan Professional. A floating licence uses a server to mange the licence, meaning that you can use any computer (in the GIS Lab) to access the licence. Only one person can use it at a time and will expire after a given time.
The licence can be taken out for up to 30 days at a time. You can also return the licence once you are done so another person can use it.
To take out the licence:
Launch the program. It should load into the actual program.
If you get a black box saying that there is no licence then someone else is already using it.
If you get a dialogue box stating you have to enter in a serial number or run in demo mode, this is either a bigger issue with the software or someone may also be using the licence.
Click on Help in the menu and then click on Activate.
Here you are given the take out the licence button. Click on it and key in the number of days you think you will need it.
Start processing your data, you are done.
To return the licence:
Click on Help in the menu and then click on Activate.
Here you will see the return licence button. Click on it and the licence should then be returned for someone else to use it.
If you have issues:
If you know no one is using it, please contact Craig, Barry, or Bernie to go in and reset the licence.
